boatpoint partners with Finnish boat builder
boatpoint, the boat sales business founded by marina group boatfolk, has become the official UK supplier of Finnish boat brand Yamarin.
The partnership’s first boat is the Yamarin 88 DC Premium, which recently arrived at boatpoint Portland, is the only example of this model available to view in the UK.
Newly appointed brand manager, Ned Winter, based at boatpoint in Portland comments: “Yamarin fits perfectly into our new boat offering at boatpoint. The Yamarin range is extremely well-suited for dry-stacking, and we anticipate continued interest and growth in the 5-9m powerboat market.”
The Yamarin 88 DC Premium is a premium version of Yamarin’s flagship model (priced from £153,000 with a Yamaha six-cylinder 300hp outboard engine).
The maximum engine rating for the Yamarin 88 DC Premium has been increased to 425hp, allowing customers to specify Yamaha’s most powerful outboard, the Yamaha XF425 XTO – a direct-fuel-injection four stroke engine.
Yamaha Motors has worked with Yamarin for several decades using the Finnish craft for the development and testing of its outboard engine range.

The boat features a pair of Yamarin Q smart displays at the helm console, said to enable the helmsman to simultaneously view a full-scale electronic chart on one screen and key engine data on the other.
