About Kevin Showell
I have known Neil since childhood, so trust him explicitly, which I consider is an integral part of why the Boatshed business operates and is run so well.
With me having 25 years experience of working for different financial institutions and a lifelong passion for boating, Boatshed is the dream way for me to combine both, especially as my first memories as a 5-year-old are accompanying my father every weekend to the local sailing club, to watch him race international 505’s. This inevitably resulted in me catching the sailing bug and I started racing a Mirror dinghy at the age of 9 years old,then progressing into Enterprises when I was a little older.
That was my induction to sailing, and as aspiring boat owners know, the dream is to have a boat on the sea. Fortunately, in my early teens my father followed his dream by converting from Dinghy sailing when he purchased his first Westerly (which resulted in many fun years sailing as a family to new destinations).
So, for any aspiring boaters, may I recommend for you to join a yacht club and volunteer to crew. If you get the bug and dream of owning a boat, maybe Charter one or better still take a look on the Boatshed website, as we have so many vessels for sale that will fit all kinds of budgets.
