Broker's Comments
Built by Conyplex of Holland, the Contest 31 has lovely classic lines. The hull shape inspires confidence: long fin, with skeg-hung rudder set behind a shaft-driven prop. Build quality is substantial, with wood used in plenty in both the cockpit and the interior. Big windows in the deck saloon make the interior light and airy. The deck-saloon set-up is great for headroom.. Unlike some deck-saloons, however, the coach-roof blends into the hull sympathetically, and doesn’t distract from the boat’s purposeful look. Inside, there is storage everywhere. This is a serious sea-going boat, ideal for single handed sailing with all lines coming back to the cockpit. A modern Betamarine diesel engine has been fitted. The low hours on the engine reflect the owners eagerness to enjoy the sailing, as I am sure her next owner will.
