Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 24m Dutch Barge Luxemotor for sale, with London mooring at Greenland Dock, SE16. A beautifully maintained barge which has been in current ownership for nearly 20 years. The boat occupies a fantastic spot in this tranquil marina with amazing views across the basin.
The extended wheelhouse provides an exceptional place to spend an evening watching the sun go down. Alternatively, there is plenty of room for outdoor seating on the coachroof for entertaining.
Originally built in 1927, the boat was last out of the water in 2016 with a full survey report available from the same time.
The barge is laid out with two cabins, one aft cabin with large double bed and the master cabin in the bow which has a large adjoining office/studio space. The galley and living area is bright and spacious with large windows and a multi-fuel stove for those colder nights. There is also diesel central heating with a new boiler fitted in 2020. The bathroom was recently refurbished to an extremely high standard.
The residential mooring at Greenland Dock (part of South Dock Marina) is fully transferable to the new owner. There is NO transfer fee on this transaction because of the length of time the current owners have owned the boat. South Dock Marina is managed by Southwark Council and current mooring fees are £10,426 per annum, considerably lower than nearby privately-owned marinas.
This truly is an exceptional barge in a unique location and viewing is highly recommended.
