Built in Holland as a replica sailing barge in 1974 and believed to be constructed on an 8mm keel with 6mm round bilge bottom (see survey from 2022). The original sailing rig has been removed and this has freed up a good amount of deck space and allowed the aft deck to be covered in a tall full tent cover for increased convivial living space with over 2m of headroom! The interior impressed me with what appears to be solid wood joinery in traditional style and the marine electrician owner has made some quality improvements including fitting marine reverse cycle air conditioning. Solar panels, recent Victron 3000w charger inverter, galvanic isolator, Victron Lynx Shunt charger control, Sterling alternator to battery precision charger. Victron colour controller with connection to your smartphone! In short a show case for his business.

Galley just down the companion way steps on port side, the galley with 1 burner gas cooker and a sink, under the cooker in the cupboard is the marine reversible air con unit FRIGOMAR. Next to the work surface in a closed space the 220V refrigerator has taken the place of an old stove now removed. Opposite the galley to starboard, galley storage and a fixed table with electric panels underneath, and battery and electric power control panel over the table, it is linked to an app on the owner smart phone for checking the boat from time to time. Headroom in this first part of the boat is 1.93. The galley area measurements are 1.83x1.60
A little step to the salon with seats on both sides of the fixed coffee table. The old mast base is still there and gives a real atmosphere of a classic period. Headroom is 1.80 here and under the pigeon box reduced to 1.79. Lots of features in brass (port holes, lamp, lights, horn etc..) again giving a vintage look in this cosy interior. Under the seats plenty storage. See in our video a drawing of what the boat looked like with its mast and sails. Saloon measurements are 2.30 wide by 2.60 long
Finally the forward cabin, open to the saloon with a mosquito net as a door. The cabin is very bright with both a port hole and glass hatch over the berth. Berth is 145x195 and headroom in the cabin is from 1.70 to 1.90. There is even a tv set at the foot of the bed. Under the mattress the stainless-steel water tank with access and below it the water pressure pump.
To port is a nice modern heads with 220v electric WC, shower and sink, 1.70 to 1.76 headroom in here, the shower tray is 0.70x0.80.
Aft terrace with solid wood flooring with 2 hatches to access the engine room. Convivial aft deck of 2.80x2.80 floor plan and a good headroom of 2.02 under the bimini.
Central helm position with seat and 2 lazarette lockers, one with the Victron galvanic isolator box, the other one with the command cables and storage space.

Broker's Comments
Motor Tjalk for sale in southern France. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this very nice example of a rare replica Dutch barge modern build. Originally built as a sailing replica, she has been "tidied up" to provide less cluttered and more usable space both on deck and below. All the charm of a classic little barge but on a recent hull with a very comprehensive and modern electrical installation. Classic charm without the downside of older vessel maintenance. A super little barge of go-anywhere dimensions and modern comfort for two.
