If you are looking for that more economical powerboat in the 36’ range, then you should look no further. Listed with Boatshed Newport is this diesel powered Formula 36 Express Cruiser.
With twin 2008 Yanmar RCD diesel engines, both giving 315hp and with only 30 hours on the clock, you will be the envy of your friends. Unlike others in this range, this Performance Cruiser was re-fitted with her current Yanmar engines as her current owner was looking for better performance and better mileage. These alone are worth nearly the asking price, so this is a bargain not to be missed. To cope with the slightly louder diesel engines, the engine room was also fitted with the best fireproof sound-down on the market, meaning you don’t have to shout when underway.
She is from the Express line of the Formula boats, but after being professionally converted, she is more like the Performance Cruiser. She has an aft bunk that will sleep two where there used to be hard-to-reach lockers. With ample storage around the boat, nothing has been lost with this conversion, but more comfort gained, enabling 6 people to sleep comfortably onboard.
She has also been upgraded in the galley, head and aft deck wet bar, with top-of-the-range Grohe fixtures and fittings, which really add that special touch that sets this Formula apart from all others. Also, there is a new 20 gallon Super Store water heater, meaning you will never run out of hot water when using all of these features.
The upgrades continue in the wet bar with a nautical style counter-top mounted sink, cleverly set on a new quartz bar top. This area can be enjoyed whatever the weather, thanks to the custom-installed hardtop. Designed with the taller person in mind, this hardtop gives ample standing room, even at the helm, with a clearance of 6’4”. This has been accented with a ¼” thick Lexan windshield which makes travelling at speed a total pleasure.
The comforts continue on the interior, with a flat-screen TV, blue-ray player and 12-disc CD player. There is even a TV and DVD player in the master cabin.
