Broker's Comments
Junk rigged schooner for sale. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this Embrun 40 steel schooner for sale. Built in 1987, the vessel has seen considerable renovation over the last few years with hull and superstructure being shot blasted back to bare metal then painted with twin pack epoxy paint plus copper coat on the hull.
Internal works include wiring, much plumbing, through hull fittings, new diesel, water and black water tanks installed. A simple and practical internal refit allowing easy access just about everywhere for repair and maintenance. Works have been carried out by our vendor for his own long distance cruising project and have been checked by his surveyor (2021) prior to relaunch. The junk rig schooner set up allows easy short or single handed cruising and the unstayed masts make the foredeck so easy to move around on unhindered. Similar to the Bruce Roberts Sprays this is a great proposition for family adventure and exploration.
An unexpected move to Australia has interrupted our vendors' plans and the boat is now available for a new owner to profit from the preparation and set off on their own adventures.
If you have your sights set on distant horizons then this is a simple, solid, straight forward cruising vessel with the added advantage of simple junk rig.
