Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 42ft Narrowboat with London residential mooring.
With a highly sought after mooring in South Dock, London's largest marina, this 1978 narrowboat is a perfect liveaboard option for an individual or couple looking to make the move onto the water.
The current owners have modernised and brightened the interior as well as attended to the 240V electrical system to ensure there is little needed in terms of work before moving in. The boat was surveyed and blacked in May 2016.
The cabin has a fold down, full-sized double bed and there are good storage options throughout the boat. Heating comes from the multifuel stove in the saloon and electric heaters and instant hot water is powered by the gas boiler in the galley.
The residential mooring at South Dock is fully transferable to the new owner but a 10% transfer fee is payable to the marina management. Current mooring fees are £6,300 p.a.
The marina is a great community of houseboaters with handy transport links. The Thames Clipper pier is 2 minutes from the marina, Surrey Quays (10 mins) and Canada Water (15 mins) are both within walking distance.
