Broker's Comments
Boatshed Grand Union is pleased to offer this 55ft Semi-trad narrowboat for sale. The buyer can step aboard with full assurance that she is up to date and ready to go. In October 2018 she received a satisfactory hull survey, BSS certification, bitument blacking, and new anodes. She is a practical and well laidout boat that is set up for living aboard. This has been her life for the recent past and now the current occupiers are moving ashore to a new life.
The saloon and galley are light and spacious, set at the forward end of the craft. A washing machine is included with the sale and set incomspicuously under the galley counter. The shower room has a deep shower tray that could double as a shallow bath for small children (or dog!) The toilet is currently of cassette type with spare cassette available. However, a holding tank is fitted beneath but never plumbed. This would be a straightword job for a boatyard or able DIYer if you would prefer a flushing loo.
The main cabin has a full sized double berth that can be extended still further to fill the width of the boat. Storage is ample for clothes and more than will be found on most canal boats.
The semi-trad stern provides a practical and safe enclosure for the family enjoying the view and the company of the helm.
A leisure mooring is available with this boat for a 5% (of purchase price) transfer fee. She holds the best berth on the marina with parking and wooded countryside around.
