Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 62ft Narrowboat for sale with exquisite Russell Newbury engine that makes it the talk of the towpath as she cruises along.
This 1991 boat has been fully refurbished to the highest standard and makes a fantastic and unique cruising boat. With a bright master cabin and extra berths for guests in the boatman's cabin and a sofa bed in the living area, there is plenty of space for visiting friends and family.
The boat has been beautifully fitted out with a very modern feel. LED lighting, wooden worktops and bright walls make it a great place to spend time and combined with the mooring at Limehouse Basin, this is one of the most desirable narrowboats on the market right now.
The heart of this boat, the engine, is a real talking point. Russell Newbury DM1's are a traditionalist's dream engine and the current owner has been stopped wherever he goes with people wanting to see the 1 cylinder engine in action. It has been lovingly maintained and is a feature of the boat in itself.
This boat is currently moored at Limehouse Basin and the new owner has the option of keeping the leisure mooring on with a payment of a 7.5% + VAT transfer fee. Current mooring fees are £10,900 p.a.. The marina is particularly well located for people working in the City or Canary Wharf with DLR links to both locations.
