Constructed in the Vanderville yard in 1966 she is one of the last Midi Canal barges to be constructed. She traded in the Midi until 1972 when lack of trade forced her out into the big wide world. She was lengthened to 38.5m Freycinet size and continued to trade throughout northern Europe including Germany, (hence her Rhine Patent, now lapsed) She remained in the hands of her first owner right up until his retirement in 1992 when she passed into the hands of her present owner. Under new ownership she was transformed back into her original Midi canal dimensions and had a new bottom (not doubled) put on. Complete documentation accompanies the boat from construction to present day and she is (almost) better than new.
Accommodation
The hold is ready to be transformed to new owners requirements, residential, hotel/charter or even cargo. A patio area has been created but original hold covers are still available. The present owner has commenced work on the boatman's cabin and forepeak cabin but has had to stop for health reasons. A solid base for conversion to your specification. Black water tank already installed. Hot water tank already installed. Generator 20Kva already installed. Oil fired central heating boiler 26Kw already installed.
