This beautifully finished 65ft Replica Dutch Barge live aboard offers spacious accommodation and is fitted out to the highest standard. With two double bedrooms (one currently accommodating a bunk bed), a bathroom that would not look out of place in a house and a well-appointed kitchen with butler sink and self-closing cupboards, she is a very comfortable place to while away the hours.
Always destined to be a live aboard she does not have an engine (one less thing to have to maintain). She is heated by a conventional domestic boiler and central heating system supplied by a roof mounted bonded oil tank.
Currently moored at a secure gated boatyard she enjoys tranquil surroundings all year round. However it is worth pointing out that her location is not guaranteed. Any prospective purchasers will need to meet with the Boatyard owner and ensure that an ongoing relationship can be maintained, alongside the 10 or so other long term residents. Community is very much the word here and it is imperative that certain rules are adhered to. That said the current costs are very competitive and all facilities provided. In addition there is a modest annual payment to the Crown and council tax is at the lowest rate (currently approximately £120 pcm). Located not far from Woodbridge with all the amenities and café culture you could want, this is a perfect solution to an overpriced holiday house. Built in 2010 she is recent so has not suffered the vagaries of time. Offered for sale due to bereavement, much of the furniture and many of the fittings are subject to negotiation. The beneficiaries of the estate are in the process of clearing out personal possessions so she will soon be available without a chain or any encumbrance.
Viewings are highly recommended but due to the location it is advised that you are ready to commit rather than “just have a look”
