CONSTRUCTION
It is "Keel Driven", with a full-length integrated keel, called the Keel Drive. It is laid up as part of the hull, not bolted or glassed on afterward. After the hull is laid up, the keel section is filled with a catalyzed mixture of high impact polyester resin, glass fiber and silica sand which is poured in place and allowed to harden. The result is a solid core many times stronger than concrete, impervious to moisture and rot. The keel acts like a two inch thick I-beam running the entire length of the boat. Following are some of the key Advantages of the Keel Drive system.
Superior Underwater Protection
Running aground is a fact of life; but, with a Keel drive it doesn't have to carry the heavy price tag that it does with most boats. Since the keel is a strong integrated part of the hull, it provides exceptional protection to the prop, shaft, and rudder. This makes it one of the few designs you can beach or run in shallow water without risking damage.
Improved Stability
Shamrock's Keel Drive hull combined with a direct drive inboard engine creates a low center of gravity making the boat very stable whether you are trolling or taking on the high seas.

Accommodation

FISHING
Along with all the built in functions that make this boat perfect for fishing it also comes equipped with a Garmin Fish Finder mounted on the center console. Some of the built in fishing amenities of this boat are:
Fish Storage
The fish box is big, open and provides easy access without interfering with interior space. The livewell is rounded which aids in circulation and keeping bait alive and healthy.
No Outboard Motors
This is perhaps one of the biggest reasons that fishing a Shamrock is such a great experience. There are no motors to fish around while fighting a fish. The Transoms are clean and all of the props and running gear are located underneath the boat so that there is nothing behind the boat for a fish to tangle up with. Sitting on the transom or standing on the swim platform to fight a fish free from obstruction, equals more fish in the fish box.
Stability
Nothing is more stable in all sea conditions than direct drive inboard powered boats. Lowering the center of gravity by having the motor mounted low and in the middle of the boat provides a stable and secure platform. Keel Drive boats provide even more stability due to the weight and resistance provided by the Keel. No matter what water conditions you are dealing with you can be sure that your Shamrock is up to the task.
