Skippered by British sailor, Sam Goodchild, the Ocean Fifty trimaran Leyton was the first to cross the finish line of the Pro Sailing Tour 2021 Final Rush offshore race in Brest, France, on Saturday night, at 20:45 local time.

Leyton covered the 1600-mile Final Rush, offshore between Toulon in the Mediterranean and Brest on the Atlantic, in five days, ten hours and 15 minutes, at an average speed of 12.51 knots.

The Pro Sailing Tour is a regatta circuit visiting four European ports during 2021 (Brest, La Rochelle, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Toulon), culminating in the Final Rush. The fleet consisted of six teams led by experienced skippers including, in addition to Goodchild, Giles Lamiré, Sébastien Rogues, Thibaut Vauchel-Camus, Erwan Le Roux and Quentin Vlamynck.

Leyton was followed by Arkema (skippered by Vlamynck) crossing the line in second at 21:37:37 in five days, 11 hours and seven minutes, and Arsep – Solidaires en Peloton (skippered by Vauchel-Camus) in third place at 21:38:34 in five days, 11 hours.
