WATCH: 40ft violin shaped boat launches in Venice

A boat in the shape of a giant violin, built as an homage to people who have died from Covid-19, had a test voyage in Venice on Friday as a cellist played on the deck, according to the Daily Mail.

Noah’s Violin was designed by artist and woodcarver Livio De Marchi during the pandemic in collaboration with the Venice Development Consortium.

The floating instrument was built to be easily disassembled and rebuilt. It will be officially launched on 19 September when it will cruise around the lagoon city.
