Broker's Comments
The Pentland is one of five Westerly models all based on the same 31' hull designed by Laurent Giles. A wheel-steered, centre cockpit twin-keeled yacht, this example is a sloop rather than the more commonly-found ketch version, a layout that maximises space in the cockpit and on deck. She appear to be a very sound boat but does need some work to bring her back to her former glory. There is a good survey from 2015. She was re-engined in 2007. Families in particular would probably appreciate the extensive storage provision and the flexible accommodation afforded by the separate aft cabin and forward cabin as well as the saloon accommodation. Not particularly fast perhaps, but a safe, solid and dependable cruiser with the power to push through the waves.
She has had 4 owners from new and has the original blue book and extensive paperwork.
