Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are delighted to offer this 48ft x 9ft Wide Beam for sale.
Currently moored in London but sold as a continuous cruiser, smaller wide beams are increasingly popular as people want the extra width but retaining the ease of manoeuvrability of a shorter boat. This boat also has the great benefit of large glass windows across the bow meaning the main living area is bathed in light. The kitchen is well equipped too with gas cooker, large fridge freezer and a nice breakfast bar that has a table concealed within.
The boat was originally designed as a trip boat and has a wheelchair lift for access from either side. The current owners have made some modifications to make it a really comfortable liveaboard and it truly is a boat that can be moved straight on to. It is also well set up for cruising with plenty of solar power and new batteries this year.
The cabin has a good sized double bed with storage underneath and storage generally is really plentiful. The boat has gas powered central heating throughout and the living area has a Glastonbury stove which also has an oven compartment.
The engine was rebuilt in 2016 and has been lightly used since then. Batteries were replaced in 2018 as well.
This would make a great boat for a couple or individual buying their first boat or perhaps upgrading from a narrowboat and viewing is highly recommended.
