During the last Atlantic crossing, the Boatshed crew created several playlists to while away the long hours onboard during the the 4 week crossing.
Today we looked at some of the music and decided to place some of the tracks in a new playlist called 10-4 U.
Basically this is an eclectic mix of 10 tracks that we played at sea and the plan is we will update the playlist on a regular basis.
Here is the playlist on Spotify and we have also transcribed the lyrics to each track below too.
PLAYLIST 10-4 U
The lyrics and music will hopefully help fill some time :)

St James Bed

I hear way down in New Orleans
They heal suffering
Take away disease

It will all evaporate from your soul
I haven't seen it
But I've been told

Put all that sorrow in a tune
Hum it softly
And call it blue

Clap your hands and raise your head
Bring your spirit down
To St. James' Bed

Oh my sweet friend
We're all going
Down to the river's end

And wash our dirty hands clean
In the songs of our lonely
Ghosts' release

All those street lights that burn so bright
Will watch over us
And keep us through the night

And place your heart over hand
It's our gospel
And you're my hymn

Going to feel that fire
Going to feel that fire inside
Let it burn us up
Burn us white

Oh my sweet friend
Ain't you coming
Down to the river's end

And wash ourselves so clean
In the memories we find
In those streets

Oh my sweet friend
Ain't you coming
Down to the river's end

Paradise Circus
It's unfortunate that when we feel a storm
We can roll ourselves over cause we're uncomfortable
Oh well, the devil makes us sin
But we like it when we're spinning in his grip

Love is like a sin, my love
For the ones that feel it the most
Look at her with her eyes like a flame
She will love you like a fly will never love you again

It's unfortunate that when we feel a storm
We can roll ourselves over when we're uncomfortable
Oh well, the devil makes us sin
But we like it when we're spinning in his grip

Love is like a sin, my love
For the one that feels it the most
Look at her with her smile like a flame
She will love you like a fly will never love you again

Hurricane

I don't know where to start
Now I'm walking the road of broken hearts
Yeah I know it was written in the stars
Now I'm falling, I'm falling apart
I don't know how to begin
The words seem to blow in the wind
All I know is that it's too late, too late
To fall in, fall in, fall in, fall in love

A hurricane will blow through everything I know
And take me away
Oh baby please save me from myself
And lift me to the state of euphoria

Tell me how, how to explain
When sounds seem to drown in the rain
I'm caught up, I'm caught up in chains
Now I'm calling, I'm calling out your name
I don't know when this ends
'Cause reason and dreams seem to blend
I gotta go, I gotta keep on moving
Cause it's tearing, tearing, tearing, tearing me apart

The Hop

Rolling in my Lacky in a twisted cap
And in the G´s back climbing up the coast like that
Tanqueray on ice in the backseat P
Just do it rolling top down
Ready to fly on the streets
Ready to fly on the streets

Back in a twisted cap
Rolling in my Lacky in a twisted cap
And in the G´s back climbing up the coast like that
Tanqueray on ice in the backseat P
Doing rolling top down
Ready to fly on the streets

Rolling in my Lacky in a twisted cap
And in the G´s back climbing up the coast like that
Tanqueray on ice in the backseat P
Just do it rolling top down
Ready to fly on the streets
Ready to fly on the streets

Back in a twisted cap
Rolling in my Lacky in a twisted cap
And in the G´s back climbing up the coast like that
Tanqueray on ice in the backseat P
Doing rolling top down
Ready to fly on the streets

Rolling in my Lacky in a twisted cap
And in the G´s back climbing up the coast like that
Tanqueray on ice in the backseat P
Just do it rolling top down
Ready to fly on the streets
Ready to fly on the streets

I love you

Wintergreen

Her face had a run-in with a fist, or a steering wheel
You could hear her coming from the click of her plastic heels
Insides have died and you're just standing here
Behind your eyes there's no one anywhere

Sleepin' on a subway
City up above me
Dreamin' up the words to this song
Bettin' on a someday
Wakin' up at someplace
Believe me, baby, I know

It holds you tight then it lets you go
Didn't looked back, just left it alone
Grabbed my coat, my hat
Let the train take me home

Sleepin' on a subway
City up above me
Runnin' since the day I was born
Bettin' on a someday
Wakin' up at someplace
Believe me, baby, I know

Howlin' at me, tellin' me she's sick and she needs some help
Old woman suckin' on a dick for a dollar bill
Insides have died and you're just standing here
Behind your eyes there's no one anywhere

Sleepin' on a subway
City up above me
Dreamin' up the words to this song
Bettin' on a someday
Wakin' up at someplace
Believe me, baby, I know

It's that little piece of nothin' that won't let you go
Didn't looked back, just left it alone
Grab my coat and my hat
Let the train take me home

Sleepin' on a subway
City up above me
Runnin' since the day I was born
Bettin' on a someday
Wakin' up at someplace
Believe me, baby, I know

The living under bridges thing, where I was only visiting
Where ladies drink the Listerine to keep their livers clean and wintergreen
The living under bridges thing, where I was only visiting
Where ladies drink the Listerine to keep their livers clean and wintergreen

The Labyrinth Song

Evening rises, darkness threatens to engulf us all
But there's a moon above it's shining and I think I hear a call
It's just a whisper through the trees, my ears can hardly make it out
But I can hear it in my heart, vibrating strong as if she shouts
Oh Ariadne, I am coming, I just need to work this maze inside my head
I came here like you asked, I killed the beast, that part of me is dead
Oh Ariadne, I just need to work this maze inside my head
If only I'd have listened to you when you offered me that thread
Everything is quiet and I'm not exactly sure
If it really was your voice I heard or maybe it's a door
That's closing up some hero's back, on his track to be a man
Can it be that all us heroes have a path but not a plan?
Oh Ariadne, I'm coming, I just need to work this maze inside my mind
I wish I had that string, it's so damn dark, I think I'm going blind
Oh Ariadne, I just need to work this maze inside my mind
For the life of me I don't remember what I came to find
Now tell me princess are you strolling through your sacred grove?
And is the moon still shining? You're the only thing I'm thinking of
The sword you gave me, it was heavy, I just had to lay it down
It's funny how defenseless I can feel here when there's nobody around
Oh Ariadne, I'm coming, I just need to work this maze inside my heart
I was blind, I thought you'd bind me, but you offered me a chart
Oh Ariadne, I just need to work this maze inside my heart
If I'd known that you could guide me, I'd have listened from the start
Somewhere up there there midnight strikes, I think I hear the fall
Of little drops of water, magnified against the barren wall
It's more a feeling than a substance, but there's nobody around
And when I'm in here all alone, it's just enough to let me drown
Oh Ariadne, I was coming, but I failed you in this labyrinth of my past
Oh Ariadne, let me sing you, and we'll make each other last
Oh Ariadne, I have failed you in this labyrinth of my past
Oh Ariadne, let me sing you, and we'll make each other last

Tookah

Take me down
To the corner of a million miles
Where time is a waste of time
Find me a pleasant tomb
And a wishing bone to be left alone with
I'll be waiting by the phone line

Tookah, you're mine
Said the girl you left her so divine
Whoa, ooh, whoa
Whoa, ooh, whoa, oh, oh, oh-oh

Come down to the corner of my pain
It's been rigged, yeah, anyway
I've been a lonesome babe
More than I ever told
And breathe, oh your mind is a pleasure tomb
Drifting along the gold gold road and
Let your senses override, I

Tookah, you're mine
Said the girl you left her so divine
Tookah, mine
Whoa, ooh, whoa, oh, whoa, oh

And breathe, oh your mind is a pleasure tomb
Drifting along the gold gold road and...

Got it Bad

Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad
Got our different ways with the same old payout
Had our own dreams with the same old outcome
Had it to extreme and the same old break down
Work it to the bone and the same won't happen

Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad
Got our different ways with the same old payout
Had our own dreams with the same old outcome
Had it to extreme and the same old break down
Work it to the bone and the same won't happen

You like it, like it so bad
And now you turn away
You like it, like it so bad
And now you turn away

Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad
Girl, you think you got it bad

Poison Lips
Everyone just goes to dust
I sing that go beyond these poison lips

And the shadow electrocution
And now I'm ready to
Be strong then come play

Everyone just goes to dust
I sing that go beyond these poison lips

And the shadow electrocution
And now I'm ready to
Be strong then come play

Everyone just goes to dust
I sing that go beyond these poison lips

Everyone just goes to dust
I sing that go beyond these poison lips

And the shadow electrocution
And now I'm ready to
Be strong then come play

The smartest clipper you can find is
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
She's the Margaret Evans of the Blue Star Line
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]
To me hey rig-a-jig in a jaunting gun
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
With Liza Lee all on my knee
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

O, we're outward bound for the West Street Pier
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
With Galway shale and Liverpool beer
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]

Ah, and when we're out in New York Town
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
We'll dance them Bowery girls around!
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]

Oh! the Margaret Evans of the Blue Star Line
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
She's never a day behind her time!
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]

[Verse 5]
O, and when we're back in Liverpool town
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
We'll stand ya's whiskeys all around!
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]

Ah, when I was a young man, in my prime
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
I'd knock them Scouse girls two at a time
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]

Oh, one more pull and that will do!
Ho-way, ho, are you 'most done?
For we're the boys to kick her through!
Clear away the track an' let the bullgine run!

[Chorus]
