A boat with an interesting history - Dutch 45ft Liveaboard
At Boatshed we pride ourselves on really getting to know the boats we have for sale. This means from time to time we come across vessels with such an interesting history it’s worth an extra mention.
This week the spotlight is on a Dutch 45ft Liveaboard steel Motor yacht lying in Plymouth.
Built in 1939 in Holland by Timmer and Zoon for an English gentleman, she was requisitioned by the Admiralty. Her active service included Boom Defence/Patrol boat up on the Tyne and as tender for the Minesweeping Division in Yarmouth. Two of her sisterships the ‘Marsayro’ and the ‘Lady Delft’ served at Dunkirk.
Over the past 11 years, her current owners have extensively improved and updated to make her a comfortable live aboard.
Boatshed broker Billy says “She is a great live aboard that could be transported to your location of choice by low-loader or by sea. She has lots of potential".
