boot Düsseldorf and the European Boating Industry (EBI) have confirmed details of the 2025 Blue Innovation Dock show stage lineup, which returns for a third year after a successful second edition in 2024.
boot Düsseldorf 2025, taking place from 18 to 26 January, will bring together over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries, offering a comprehensive showcase of advancements across the boating and water sports industries.
Spanning 220,000 square metres in Halls 1 to 17, the event will feature a wide array of boats, yachts, and water sports equipment, as well as workshops and interactive activities designed for both professionals and enthusiasts. This year’s programme will place a significant focus on innovation, sustainability, and marine conservation.
The Blue Innovation Dock, sponsored by Beneteau Group and supported by Sanlorenzo Yachts, will once again serve as a platform for discussions on the future of the industry, bringing together experts from business, society, and politics. Located in Hall 10, the sessions will commence on 18 January at 11:00am with an opening event featuring German and EU political representatives. Bruno Thivoyon, CEO of Beneteau Group, will deliver a keynote address on the topic “Sustainability will only be successful if it improves customer experience,” highlighting the challenges and opportunities facing boat manufacturers. A subsequent panel will explore the economic and political priorities for the industry through 2030.
On 19 January, marine ambassador Emily Penn will lead a discussion on sustainability with young professionals in the industry. The focus will shift to marinas and nautical tourism on 20 January, with a keynote speech by Professor Stefan Gössling, who will present his research on the environmental impacts of tourism and transportation.
On 21 January, start-ups will showcase sustainable innovations to a jury of industry experts, moderated by Gabbi Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures. Luca Bassani, founder of Wally, will deliver a keynote on innovative yacht design.
The programme continues on 22 January with a focus on luxury markets and sustainability, featuring Professor Fernando Fastoso from Pforzheim University. He will discuss the growing demand for ethically and ecologically responsible products in high-end branding. On 23 January, Anna Goldhofer will present strategies for reducing environmental impacts through circular economy principles, based on her experience with BMW and Critical Friends.
Digitalisation and new technologies will be in the spotlight on 24 January, with Italian engineers Francesco Belvisi and Marco Calatroni presenting their Nugae project. Luca Rizotti of the Foiling Organization will also discuss advancements in foiling technology, which will be showcased at the new “Foiling World” exhibit in Hall 15.
On 25 January, extreme swimmer and ocean ambassador André Wiersig will speak about ocean conservation and share insights from his initiative, theBlueHeart. He will be joined by actor and environmental advocate Hannes Jaenicke and the EU4Ocean Coalition in a panel discussion.
The final day, 26 January, will feature investigative photographer and author York Hovest, who will address ecological and cultural preservation. Martin Fischer, lead designer for America’s Cup Team Ineos Britannia, will share his expertise on sailing technology.
The event will also highlight ocean conservation efforts, including the “Ocean Tribute” award in partnership with the Prince Albert II Foundation and the German Ocean Foundation, and the “Love Your Ocean” campaign in Hall 11.
Trade visitor tickets to boot Düsseldorf 2025 are available online for €26 and include early access to the fair at 9:30am. Private visitor tickets start at €19 with boot.club membership and are valid for two days. Children under 12 can attend free when accompanied by parents.
