The BSI Marine Equipment Group is investing €5.6 million across its businesses. It’s looking to provide additional space required for superyacht rigging, particularly standing rod rigging, create capacity meaning shorter lead times for customers and achieve greater precision through robotic and milling machinery.

The investment will be allocated across businesses including BSI, GORI Propeller, Hundested Propeller, Jefa Steering, Moonlight, Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) and OYS.

“The board of the BSI Marine Equipment Group made the decision in Q4 of 2023 to invest in both the facilities and the machinery at our four locations,” says Morten Madsen CEO of the BSI Marine Equipment Group. “The new robotic machinery is already in place at GORI Propeller and the new facility in the grounds of the current site in Haderslev, Denmark is ready for fit out. It’s an exciting time for the company and we look forward to the next stages of the strategy progressing at Hundested Propeller, Jefa Steering and OMS in the coming months. The official opening of the new building here in Haderslev is planned for the end of Q3 2024.”

The aim is to meet what the compant refers to as ‘the growing demands from the worldwide sailing industry’. Madsen says the companies within the BSI Marine Equipment Group are OEM suppliers to a number of sailing yacht yards around the world, as well as supplying products through distribution channels and service agents.
