OPEN ALL HOURS

There is nothing worse than arriving at a marina late at night after staff have gone home. Fortunately, the Yacht Haven is staffed 24 hours a day meaning you can collect your access codes, Wi-Fi login and even top up with fuel whatever the time.

This is even more useful if you are arriving at Lymington after a long passage, or you need to leave at an unsociable hour in order to catch the tides on your next journey. You can rest easy that there will be a member of staff on-hand to help.

From interior and exterior cleaning to engine checks, refuelling and project management, the Yacht Haven is now offering these services for annual berth holders in their new ‘On Board’ concierge scheme. The service, which is tailored to boat owner’s requirements, can also include emptying dehumidifiers, laundry, pump out and even unpacking food shopping into your fridge.

If you need that extra bit of space on board, or you are a keen racer who needs to remove cruising gear ahead of racing, a nearby storage locker is a must. The Boat Owner’s Lockers at the Yacht Haven are ideally placed on the pontoon ensuring owners do not need to walk far with their belongings.

BERTHING & STORAGE

Located in the centre of Lymington, Haven Quay is a busy dry stack marina and boatyard for boats up to 10m LOA (five tonnes in weight). Offering lifts and launches seven days a week with year-round access, the site offers dry berthing for 55 boats plus storage ashore for more than 150.

One of the basic requirements for all boat owners is stepping off your boat on to a large, stable pontoon. Lymington Yacht Haven continue to invest heavily in their facilities with 20 new finger pontoons installed this winter, with a further 40 new fingers installed over the previous three years. This includes the opening of their new ‘W’ pontoon providing additional on-water berths for boats up to 8m LOA.

New for 2019, the Yacht Haven has launched a new in-house service for berth holders with the Yacht Haven managing all the day-to-day jobs that come with boat ownership.

For those currently not in boat ownership, or if they are unsure if owning a boat is right for them, Lymington Boat Club offers something new.

Members can enjoy unlimited access to a fleet of brand new and professionally maintained boats for a fixed annual fee. Boats will be ready to go on your arrival with members being able to choose from a Merry Fisher 695, Gemini RIB 650 and an Axopar 28.

New for 2019, Discovery Yachts Group is relocating their head office to Lymington Yacht Haven. Their new facility will be their home for new and used boat sales across their four brands: Discovery Yachts, Southerly Yachts, Bluewater Yachts and Britannia Yachts. Their new premises will officially open with a Spring Open Weekend on 6 – 7 April.

OUT & ABOUT

For days when boating is not on the agenda, the Lymington and Keyhaven Nature Reserve is a beautiful place to walk or cycle. The Reserve, which is accessible directly from the Yacht Haven, is wonderful place to bird watch with a range of unique species enjoying the marshes.

The coastal footpath runs all the way to Hurst Spit (12km round trip) and it is completely flat making it perfect for cycling with the family. Bikes and electric bikes can be hired from the marina office, all equipped with helmets, lights and a map if you wish to venture further into the New Forest.
