Hacker Boat Co launches new model range

Hacker Boat Company has launched a new range of Hacker-Craft models. The Evolution Collection is a line of three mahogany powerboats, featuring the new Commuter, Centre Console and Monaco models.

The US boatbuilder says each new model can be customised according to the owner’s requirements.

“The beauty of our build process, working with mahogany and hand-applied fibreglass and epoxies, is that we are able to customise our designs without the impact of altering tooling,” says Erin Badcock, the company’s COO.

“The Evolution Collection’s three unique models really define a new era for Hacker-Craft. The range will assist us in entering new markets and attract buyers looking for innovative designs and cutting-edge technology, yet with the panache of the Hacker-Craft brand. We will continue to build and restore the classic designs that have created our legacy, that is important to us and our customers.”

The Centre Console is available with outboards, a first for Hacker-Craft

The Commuter model is a 37.5-foot hardtop with an open-style cabin, powered by twin inboards. The Centre Console model is available in sizes from 30-35 feet, and is built on a modified version of the company’s Sport model hull.

The Centre Console is available with inboard or, a first for Hacker-Craft, outboard power options. Meanwhile, the Monaco is billed as the most contemporary model within the Evolution Collection. It features a 40-foot hull, an open transom, flexible seating arrangements, a large swim platform and a customisable cuddy cabin.

This new range of boats was facilitated, in part, by the recent move of Hacker-Craft’s operations to a new, larger facility in Queensbury, NY. The boatbuilder says it hopes the new location will attract employees and make it easier for prospective customers to view and purchase Hacker-Craft models.

Badcock adds that the new space, 40 per cent larger than the former factory, will better enable Hacker to build custom boats and expand their rapidly growing boat restoration business.
