MJM Yachts welcomes new leadership team members

North Carolina boartbuilder MJM Yachts has appointed two yachting industry veterans to its leadership team. Matthew Saloom joins MJM as chief operating officer, and Brent Brewster is the new chief financial officer (CFO).
MJM Yachts, founded in 2002 by sailing hall of fame alumni Bob Johnstone, builds luxury outboard and inboard performance yachts in a Carolina Downeast style.
Utilising his extensive leadership experience at respected automotive and boating industries including Volvo, Hatteras Yachts and Maverick Boat Group, Saloom (who previously served as MJM vice president of operations in 2020–2021) takes the role at MJM as chief operating officer (COO).
With his expertise in budget optimisation and process efficiency, Saloom has a proven track record of driving operational success in complex manufacturing environments. According to MJM, his steadfast commitment to safety, waste management, and continuous improvement aligns seamlessly with MJM’s dedication to innovation and excellence.
As COO, Saloom is focused on enhancing efficiency across all facets of production, ensuring MJM continues to lead the industry in performance, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge manufacturing practices.

Brewster [pictured left] joins MJM after most recently serving as corporate controller for Correct Craft, where he held a variety of other positions over the last eight years.
In his role as CFO, Brewster will support in driving MJM’s strategic direction while also overseeing the day-to-day finance operations.
“We are so delighted to have Matt and Brent join the MJM team,” says Natascia Hatch, CEO of MJM Yachts. “They have tremendous boating industry experience and will help solidify MJM as an industry leader.”
