New superyacht marine toilet from Thetford Marine

Thetford Marine has launched its latest Tecma toilet, the Evolution Plus.
The company’s ceramic macerator toilets are made in Otricoli, Italy, while its global headquarters is located in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands.
Now, Thetford Marine is extending its bathroom line with the introduction of this floor-standing model. It features a soft-closing seat and cover and a frontal quick-release system, meaning it can be easily removed for deep cleaning.
“Larger boats typically have spacious bathrooms where space is not a constraint, and the floor-standing model doesn’t require any special installation,” says Isabella Agati, sales manager marine and residential Europe & International. “We are very close to our customers and responsive to their needs, and this product is the result of that—our customers’ demands, and we strive to meet them in the best possible way.”
This particular model is destined for superyachts and luxury catamarans, ranging from 20 metres in length and beyond.
Evolution Plus is available in different colours and finishes.
“These models are highly customisable, so almost any colour and finish are possible,” says Agati. “The segment in which we operate is closely linked to luxury interior design, and we aim to follow and anticipate trends based on our customers’ demands. For instance, in 2012, we made the Privilege toilet with a special gold coating.”
Thetford says that the new model is both easy to install, and to maintain.
Tecma is Thetford’s marine sanitation product line, and it has been producing bathroom amenities for over 20 years. The company says the macerator technique has been proven to have reliable performance over many years. Thetford is also the inventor of the world-renowned original portable toilet, Porta Potti.
