Shakespeare Marine relocates distribution centre after record Asia growth
US marine antenna design specialist Shakespeare Marine has reported its most successful year in Asia to date, with a 20 per cent increase in regional growth. This marks Asia as the brand’s largest growth region globally. The company attributes this success to strategic expansions, including onboarding new distributors and strong demand for its antenna products.
To further support its operations, Shakespeare Marine has relocated its Chinese distribution centre from Shanghai to Weihai.
The firm says this new facility, with increased square footage, will enable improved logistics and delivery while providing access to a wider variety and greater quantities of stock. Products stored at the centre include VHF, AIS, and HDTV marine antennas, the QuickConnect range, heavy-duty stainless-steel mounts, and other popular items such as the 5912-DORSAL VHF antenna, V-Tronix fibreglass VHF antenna, and Classic AIS antenna.
“This year has been incredible for Asia and is an area we’ve focused on growing via onboarding new distributors.,” says Dave Manasseh, international sales manager for Shakespeare Marine. “Following a year of significant company growth and an ever-increasing global presence, the new warehouse will enable us to meet the demands of our customers at a much greater rate and widen our offering.”
Earlier this year, the firm added dealers in Saudi, Brazil and French Polynesia to its global roster.
The updated facility is already contributing to the company’s success, as demonstrated by a record order for HF and VHF antennas sold directly into Asia, including expansion into new territories. Manasseh adds, “The latest order in Asia is a testament to the quality and reliability of our products and further highlights our brand as a prestigious player in the Asian market.”
