Gesink will be supported by Elena Ratti, who comes in to fill the newly created role in the marketing department.
In addition, Vetus international sales manager, Pieter Feenstra, has moved across to Smartgyro as global sales director for North Europe, APAC and America.
The company says its new base in La Spezia incorporates larger areas for assembly and testing as well as more general office space.
“We are very excited to announce the details of the expanded Smartgyro team which now contains an incredible amount of talent and industry experience,” says Marcel Borsboom, Smartgyro CEO. “Our engineering department is fully capable of developing our range for the future and the marketing team led by Sander will focus on the task of communicating the benefits and features of our gyro stabilizers to the boating community, our partners and customers.
“We are confident that we have developed an innovative and advanced solution that has exceptional advantages for boat builders and boat owners. In fact, we are already receiving significant interest and very positive feedback from OEMs who recognize the outstanding innovations in our products. With the company now based at the new facilities in La Spezia, Smartgyro has a solid foundation in place and will come into its own as a powerful industry force.”
