Suntex Marina Investors, the largest standalone recreational marina owner in the US by marina count and boat slips, has joined forces with Almar Marinas through the acquisition of four marinas located in Oakland, California.

These four marinas in Oakland include Jack London Square Marina, North Basin Marina, Central Basin Marina and Union Point Marina, which join several other properties that merged with the Suntex portfolio in March. The complete Suntex portfolio includes Marina Del Rey Marina in Marina Del Rey, California; Peninsula Yacht Marina in Channel Islands Harbour, California; Bahia Marina in Channel Islands Harbour, California; Westport Marina in Channel Islands Harbour, California; and the management company.

Founded in 1974, Almar is the largest operator of coastal marinas on the west coast of the United States.

The Suntex portfolio includes marinas located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
