Superyacht refit and repair group MB92 has launched operations at its new Golfe-Juan facility, completing its first haul out. An expansion of its Mediterranean refit capabilities, the facility can service up to 16 yachts simultaneously with lengths up to 43 metres.

First announced in October 2024, this move highlights the group’s ongoing strategy to expand its global presence. The expansion includes a €5m investment in modernisation, featuring a newly certified 240-tonne travel lift, renovated building, restored hard-standing areas, and enhanced environmental protection infrastructure.

Phillippe Escousse, an experienced former professional captain, has been appointed site manager. To ensure service continuity, the facility also retains more than 15 professionals from the previous shipyard operation.

The development forms part of D-Marin’s broader modernisation of the Camille-Rayon port. Corinne Reynaud, global chief financial officer at D-Marin and president of D-Marin France, describes the opening as an “exciting new chapter.”

Rob Papworth, CEO of MB92 La Ciotat, notes: “Our experience with the 300t Origins platform in La Ciotat has proven the value of a flexible, client-focused approach, and I am confident we can replicate the same success in Golfe-Juan. Clients will benefit from MB92 Group’s significant investment in the site, access to our extensive network of global and local providers, as well as project support from La Ciotat.”

“The expansion of our portfolio reflects our dedication to supporting the growth of the yachting industry while upholding the highest standards of sustainability and operational excellence. We are proud to partner with MB92 in this endeavour and look forward to the success of this key addition to the Mediterranean yachting landscape,” adds Reynaud.

The MB92 Group’s footprint now extends to La Ciotat, Barcelona, and the Red Sea, including the Golfe-Juan facility, which is now accepting bookings for refit projects ranging from routine maintenance to complex overhauls.
