It is about 03.45 utc. We are lunging along well at better than five knots. Seas are from the stern generally and we have 65 percent cloud cover. All rain showers are visible way off and none have dusted us off. We have been making water with the watermaker and picking up a bit.

When we got light this am, we were really going slow, with reefed in sails and engine running about 1800 rpm or so. Doing less than 4 knots, but bouncing in waves.

Still bouncing but with engine at 2000 and with newer wind off the south and sails full up on the starboard side we are going great...

We show on the Garmin Global Pos System that our destination would be only 86 hours away at this speed. We hope it gets better as we will go faster wing and wing and with over the stern winds we may be very comfy aboard.

Our spot is obviously working as before. The problem was spent batteries on the Lithium in it before and a succession of at least one of the two duracell batteries each time from new packs were at 60 per cent only... with two fully powered ones, NO PROBLEM, MON!

Now 22 days at sea
