One runner-up will win an awesome Rooster kit bundle worth £1,000, which includes a Diamond Overhead BA, Thermaflex long john and top, Hot Top and Hot Legs thermal base layer, Pro Aquafleece Spray top, Pro Aquafleece Rigging coat, Dura Pro 2 gloves, Supertherm wetsuit socks, All Purpose boots, Pro Aquafleece beanie and a 60l Carry All kit bag.

Raffle tickets cost £10 each and are available until midnight on 14th March online.

All proceeds will go straight to the Andrew Simpson Foundation, to provide opportunities for young people, from all walks of life, to experience a whole range of watersports.

The Foundation was set up to honour the memory of Olympic gold medalist Andrew Simpson MBE and pass on his passion for sailing to future generations, changing lives, creating career pathways and providing opportunities that last a lifetime.

Richard Percy, CEO, Andrew Simpson Foundation, says: “Everything we do is driven by our belief that all young people can excel and succeed in life and work. We work to remove any true or perceived barriers to enable and encourage all young people to participate in sailing and watersports. Whether they are stepping into a boat for the first time, racing at international competitions, or using their skills and experience to teach and inspire others, the young people who come through our doors are truly incredible. Their ability to adapt and persevere, particularly in the face of adversity, is inspirational. The support we receive from donors like you will enable us to support even more young people to access our amazing sport.”

Haven Knox-Johnston has donated the prizes, with support from RS Sailing and Rooster, to celebrate the launch of its new dinghy insurance portal.

Paul Knox-Johnston, sales and marketing manager, Haven Knox-Johnston, says: “We decided that there was no better way to launch our new dinghy offering than to give back to the sailing community through the Andrew Simpson Foundation. We aim to raise as much money as possible to give as many young people a chance to get on the water as we can. Every penny spent on raffle tickets will go directly to the Andrew Simpson Foundation and two lucky winners will receive great prize packages.”

Luke Morrison, managing director of Rooster, adds: “At Rooster, we are always proud to stand alongside our partners in support of such meaningful causes. In our own way, we hope that our contribution and focus help to raise awareness and shine a light on this important initiative. It’s through collaboration and shared passion that we can make a real difference.”
